I surely don\u2019t think so!&nbsp;<\/h2><h3>My name is Emily Parsons-Walker. I am the new Event Specialist with SITE, and I couldn\u2019t be more excited to be with the organization and membership.&nbsp;<\/h3><p class=\"Paragraph SCXW26318144 BCX0\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:windowtext;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;margin:0px 0px 10.6667px;padding:0px;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;vertical-align:baseline\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" lang=\"EN-US\">Starting a new job, in a new country, with all-new people can be overwhelming \u2014 but I saw this as the perfect opportunity to go in eyes wide open and understand everything that is SITE Global Conference. I have been in the events industry for almost six years and loved every minute of it. &nbsp;<\/p><\/div><div class=\"OutlineElement Ltr SCXW26318144 BCX0\" style=\"clear:both;cursor:text;direction:ltr;, Arial, Verdana, sans-serif;font-size:12px;font-style:normal;font-weight:400;letter-spacing:normal;margin:0px;overflow:visible;padding:0px;position:relative;text-align:start;text-indent:0px;text-transform:none\"><p class=\"Paragraph SCXW26318144 BCX0\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:windowtext;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;margin:0px 0px 10.6667px;padding:0px;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;vertical-align:baseline\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" lang=\"EN-US\">The most notable moments during the conference were those when I could feel the sense of welcoming from the membership. This is something that I feel really sets SITE apart from other associations.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"Paragraph SCXW26318144 BCX0\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:windowtext;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;margin:0px 0px 10.6667px;padding:0px;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;vertical-align:baseline\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" lang=\"EN-US\">I immediately felt like this was a place I was supposed to be: so thank you all for welcoming me with open arms! It is valuable to me &nbsp;to make an impact on the areas that I travel to and plan in because I understand the importance this industry has on communities around the world.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"Paragraph SCXW26318144 BCX0\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:windowtext;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;margin:0px 0px 10.6667px;padding:0px;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;vertical-align:baseline\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" lang=\"EN-US\">Growing up, one of the biggest things my parents instilled in me was to leave something better than you found it, and I have carried that into my career.&nbsp;<\/p><p class=\"Paragraph SCXW26318144 BCX0\" style=\"background-color:transparent;color:windowtext;font-style:normal;font-weight:normal;margin:0px 0px 10.6667px;padding:0px;text-align:left;text-indent:0px;vertical-align:baseline\" xml:lang=\"EN-US\" lang=\"EN-US\">Sustainability is such a broad topic, but my favorite areas to focus on are uses of technology to advance sustainability and creative food and beverage to deepen cultural immersion and cut down on carbon emissions by ensuring items are sourced locally.
