As SITE continues to grow, we’re expanding our team to make sure our members and the wider incentive travel community have plenty of ways to keep connecting, learning, discovering, and shaping the future of our industry and association. <\/h2>

With preparations for SITE Global Conference 2025 \u2014 and other events, in our full calendar line-up \u2014 kicking into high gear, we’re excited to introduce one of our newest team members, Tiffany Shafer. <\/h3>

Q: What made you interested in joining the SITE HQ team? <\/strong><\/p>

A:<\/strong><\/span> My interest in joining the SITE HQ team stems from my family\u2019s background in hospitality. My mom was very active in her local SITE chapter, so I\u2019ve always been aware of SITE\u2019s impact. <\/p>

Seeing this role on LinkedIn got my very excited to expand my career and knowledge in the hospitality and incentive travel industry as part of the SITE HQ team. <\/p>

With a background in education and human resources, the Education Specialist position aligns well with my interests and skills. Though new to the industry, I\u2019m confident my abilities will contribute meaningfully and I\u2019m so excited for the path ahead!<\/p>

Q: How do you prefer to learn and share new discoveries with others? <\/strong><\/p>

A:<\/strong><\/span> I like to learn and share discoveries through open conversations, especially in the incentive travel industry, where on the ground experience is invaluable. While we can learn about everything conceptually, deeper understanding comes from being hands on and executing events and programs.  So, I enjoy listening to people\u2019s stories of their tenure and what they\u2019ve learned along the way. <\/p>

Q: What\u2019s the most exciting industry education experience you\u2019ve had or been part of so far? <\/strong><\/p>

A: <\/strong><\/span>I\u2019m still early in my career, so I can\u2019t say that I\u2019ve attended an industry education event at this point. I\u2019m very excited to get to work with everyone at SITE Global Conference in Tulum, Mexico early next year to dive headfirst into this space!<\/p>

Q: What are you most excited to hear more about or discover from the SITE community? <\/strong><\/p>

A:<\/strong><\/span> I\u2019m most excited for IMEX 2025. I know it\u2019s an exhausting week, but it will be an awesome opportunity to meet industry leader in person and further contextualize the work that we do at SITE. <\/p>

Q: What’s a fun or surprising fact SITE members might enjoy learning about you? <\/strong><\/p>

A:<\/strong><\/span> In 2022 I worked as a ski lift operator at Purgatory Resort for the winter, which was very fun and different than anything I had ever done before! <\/p>

Another fun fact is that I was on a professional ballet company when I was in middle school which led to a performance in the Sydney Opera House in Australia. Truly a once in a lifetime experience that ignited a passion to travel and see the world! <\/p>
